for todays challenge we were to make a card using a fun fold.
I have been with my DH since I was 15 yo and he was 17 yo. He will be 50 in a few week so I needed to make a fun card for him. I think this image was just perfect for this fold.
the top photo shows the card flattened to fit into a standard a2 envelope where you just see the first half of the sentiment. the bottom photo shows the card opened up to be free standing.
sorry, I don't have a link to this fold. It is something that I saw in a magazine several years ago and just kept the general idea in my head (dangerous place to be, I know) lol.
Here is how I "winged" it.
cut my cardstock to 11 x 4.25 inches
scored at 4.75, 6, 8.5, and 9.75 inches.
I then folded up all the scores leaving the long part for the back of the card.
From looking at the bottom photo above, you can see which panel I stamped the main image on - make sure you stamp a portion of this image over the score line. Then you will use your exacto knife to cut around the top portion of the image so when you fold it back over to adhere to the longer back part it will pop up for you.
To fold flat for mailing, just push up the bottom part and it will lay flat over the longer portion.
If this doesn't make sense, feel free to shoot me a pm and I will try and help more.
