This paper literally attacked me in H/Lobby this morning. Picture it: I was hollering and yelling, everybody was looking and I was so embarassed that I couldn't fight off a little 12" square of paper! It was ugly, folks. So, after that fight, IT decided that IT needed to look for a stamp that was suitable for use on IT. This Journey stamp took ITs' side and left with us.
This paper reminds me of the years in my youth (from 10 to 19) when I lived at home with the folks at Surfside Beach, Brazoria County, Texas. My husband and I kept going back until the folks moved up to CenTex for their retirement. The house was on stilts rather than being a 2-story shuttered job like the one on the DP, was actually light yellow, but the palm trees were there. And you could see the Gulf for years before Houston took over and built houses all along the waterfront. Sob!!! Now I'm homesick. NOT!
Again, I'm improvising on yesterday's color challenge. There's just enough of a lavenderish/amethystish looking color in the DP to hopefully pull this off. The metal J over the J in journey is a leftover from a Christmas project my sister did. That is my limited supply 'belly.

Isn't it amazing how a craft thing can take over your life and direct you to acquire the oddest pieces. And then how the oddest bits become beautiful expressions of art in your hands... your card and description are wonderful.
