My new stuff's here, my new stuff's here! Can you feel my excitement? I've been tracking the darn box for over a week now! I can't wait to play with everything! Here's the first card I created tonight. The Prehistoric Pals set isn't new, but I chose to get it with my hostess benefits, so I mounted it and inked it for the first time today.
The ribbon slide has been made with the new scalloped border punch. I couldn't figure out how people did it until I played with the punch and realized you can push the cardstock deep enough in the punch to make a hole and not just a border. And it's just the right size to use that neglected wide twill.
The card base and the blue paper have been rolled with a wheel and embossed with clear powder, then inked. The wheel on the cardbase is Matey's Map, because it has palm trees and therefore match the main image. The dinosaur was also embossed to give its skin a reptilian, leathery look. I distressed the edges of the orange cardstock and added metal accents to fit the theme and make a more masculine card, for once.
