I've seen numerous cards recently where the mesh from onion bags was brayered over. I didn't have an onion bad but did have a similar plastic mesh that some chocolate had come in. I had to stretch it some while brayering and it moved around on me. I thought all was lost but when done I thought it looked somewhat like the bottom of a pool ... kind of like when the lines and shapes keep dancing around. I decided to run with the 'water' theme, hence I stamped it with this big old ship. I wanted to stamp something around the outer grey border or add some hardware but decided it better not to. I want to keep the background effect more the focus rather than draw away from it.

Love the background technique! Looks a bit like storming in th foreground and lighting in the back....very dramatic look! and so appropriate with the ship! Very dramatic!

It looks like the water and the clouds are dancing around. What a great card. The sea and sky would have been far too tame if the mesh *behaved itself*.
