What fantastic cakes on the inspiration site! I picked the Sophia. You can see it HERE if you scroll thru. This site won't let you link directly to a particular cake.
I stamped the smaller mums (AL) w/ the neptune ink, the solid flowers (HA) w/ the lt brown and used the choc. marker on part of the decorative lines stamp (HA) for the bg. It's edged w/ an aquamarine marker.
The lg. mum (Inkadinkado) was stamped onto a vellum panel w/ the seaglass ink and embossed w/ the stardust ep. The stem (AL) was stamped w/ chestnut & I used the same ep. I stamped the smaller mum (AL) twice more using the harbor & peacock inks & same ep. I cut these out & layered on top of the large one w/ the clear Zots. These are slightly dimensional. The llower edge is punched and I used the VM pen to edge the other 3 sides and embossed w/ the ep.
The large vellum was bugged and punched at the lower edge. I determined where I wanted to place the top elements and placed adhesive tape in those areas between the vellum and the bg. I punch thru all layers of the flower and used a rhinestone brad to attach the flower panel to the large vellum and the bg panels.
I placed two brads in the upper corners of the vellum to attach it to the bg. The sentiment was stamped on white and cut out. I stamped the frame (Outlines) and embossed. Used the aquamarine marker on the inside frame and attached sentiment in the center. Layered onto choc. chip and then onto the vellum.
The whole thing is layered onto a piece of choc. chip. It looks like there is a cool caribbean panel behind the choc. chip but this is a faux layer. I drew a box onto the white card front w/ the aquamarine marker before I attached all the other layers.
A lot of steps, I know but it really sparkles IRL and the vellum makes it look very light and airy. TFL
