Here is my limited supply effort for today. It looks so much better IRL. I relied on texture rather than pattern to create interest and the camera takes some of that away. There may be a second version of this posted later....
I used a purchased watercolor card with a deckled edge. The main image is embossed in black. I colored the flag with markers and clear embossed, cut out and popped up on the main image. It sits on Real Red and Brilliant Blue. The lucious velvet ribbon was purchased at Borders, it's Paper Chase. I learned it is difficult to tie a nice knot in velvet ribbon!
