1. This card is also for a whole lotta other stuff! When I saw the inspiration piece I wanted to do a quilty type card and picked this Basic Grey paper because it had good coordinating small patterns.
2. Of course, the first thing that popped into my mind was this week's sketch challenge because of the squares.
3. While I was cutting out the squares (I don't have any square punches) I was thinking hey, this is gonna be a quick card (no stamping) maybe I can do Sharon's 10 minute card challenge along with the inspiration challenge!
4. Then I started thinking about the limited supply challenge to use brads (only brads) as embellishments. That one was right up my alley and I was bummed I didn't getta do it! I love brads! So, then I started thinking about adding brads to this card!
5. Then I thought this card looks sorta blah! Maybe it will help to cuttlebug all the pieces, you know, give it some texture! Stupid idea considering you can't see it in the tiny patterns.
6. Then I dropped one of those 4 compartment SU brad containers that have different shapes in it so I had to separate them all and put them back!
7. Welcome to my 2 hour 10 minute card that looks like a quilt, has 35 brads on it, has some texture and is probably one of the weirdest cards I have ever made. It might be man-card!

This is a stunner! I absolutely love it! Love the DP (one of my Favs) and the perfectly placed brads! Awesome combination of the challenges! You know this one is going straight in my Favs!

I think the texture shows great! Everything always takes longer than you think. It turned out really nice. I won't be casing it, though. If it took you 2 hours , it'll take me longer.

I think the card is beautiful!!! And although I don't doubt the experience of making this card might have been a little 'weird', (in a Cindy-weird kinda way) the end result definitely isn't!!! Dontcha just hate it when you drop a WHOLE container full of brads?!?!?!?!
