As time was short again this week, I combined two challenges that I thought worked very well together: IC134 and CC172. The colors I saw in the quilt were the blue-green, white and brown. So, when I saw the CC for the week was Taken with White Wasabi, I knew those were the colors for me!
I am loving this Bloomin' Beautiful set! The flowers were cut out 3 x and pieces layered. They were colored using re-inkers and a blender pen. Who knew blush and banana could look so good! I added a little dazzling diamonds to the tips of the flowers (and also the little bees wings). I used my new nesties to build a frame for them to sit.
I stitched little flowers on the sides to resemble the flowers from the dp. It was a snap! I used Bazzill's In Stitchz and they keep them equally distant from each other. Just pierce the holes and stitch! I then put a tiny rhinestone in the center of the flowers and in between each set of flowers. I thought a little sewing was in order since we were looking at a quilt! (That's about as much sewing as I can handle most days! lol!)
I have a wonderful set of stamps from Autumn Leaves called Word Flourishes which is where the Blessed stamp is from. I just added rhinestones again for a little extra. I guess I was in the mood for sparkly!
Thanks for looking!
Have a great day!
