My son asked me to make thank you cards for the graduation gifts he received. He asked for something masculine with no ribbon, I count that as meaning no bows. He asked for masculine colors as well. I did a few prototype cards and this design is the one he chose, he wanted it kept simple. I decided to monogram the cards instead of using decorative stamps. I love the DIY monogram stamper from JustRite, it was perfect for this project. I chose Chocoloate Chip for the monogram, I simply used the re-inker to fill up JustRite's ink pad for the stamper. For the sentiment I used the set of sentiment stamps from Flourishes.

This is lovely. I'll probably write too much here, but doesn't it just make you feel great when even the big boys appreciate what we do? I made my son's wedding rehearsal dinner announcements, place cards, and thank you cards. I'm sure at first they were thinking about all of the money they'd save, but in the end, my son was really appreciative and proud. Now I made myself cry because my baby got married! I'm sure that you've shed a few too with your baby graduating. It's hard that they've grown up. Sorry about rambling. Your card just brought back some melancholy memories for me.

Oh and PS: You don't even look old enough to have a son graduating from high school and I hope that I just didn't shoot myself in the foot, which I'm very proficient at!

I can see why he chose this one! It's very masculine but elegant and with the monogram it's very personal! Wonderful thank you card!
