Watercoloring w/ reinkers is a great technique that I love. I'm still working on sympathy cards and this one is for a dear friend who lost his father. He owns a landscape co. and bonsai nursery so I thought the trees would be appropriate.
The trees (JFF) were stamped w/ white pigment ink and embossed w/ white ep on white c/s. I could have used watercolor paper, but it wasn't as handy and this gives a smoother finish. I then wet the c/s in sections and floated in colors of the reinkers and let them blend where they met. When it had dried a little, I added a little more of a definitive line for the hills on the horizon.
When totally dry, I stamped the little swirls (SG) around the edges w/ soft gold, then edged it w/ the white marker. I stamped the sentiment (LIWP) onto vellum w/ coal ink and used the wet paint brush to paint a line so I could tear it easily. I edged it w/ the white marker. I punched a cut off strip of the watercolor w/ the word window punch, edged it and cut it in half. I used these to attach the vellum, then added the brads.
I stamped the swirls again w/ soft gold onto the m. mustard piece, and used leaf green on the g. green then put it all together. The card measures 6.5 x 5. TFL

Just gorgeous!!! So many rich details went into this card! Love the embossing and the swirls around the edges... and of course that watercoloring is fantastic!
