This was my idea for the re-inker watercolouring. This stamp is from DeNami Design. I LOVE lilacs. Have done ever since I was a little girl. there's just something about their smell and the way they bring early summer to life. I bought this stamp with the idea of using it to watercolour but using markers. What I did instead was use my paint brush to apply the lightest colours to the flowers, leaves and branches and then huffed and stamped onto watercolour paper. Then I used ink in my brush and water mixed together off of my palette and watercoloured to make the image 3-D. I cut it all out and then popped up a leaf and 5 indidvidual flowers. This card is very dimensional, just like a lilac. I used stickles to adhere Flower soft fibers from katysuedesigns onto the flowers to add even more depth and then used stickles in bluberry ice in the center of all the flowers and did highlights with my signo gel pen. I really enjoyed making this card and wish somehow I could make it smell like the real thing too. Hopefully the stickles and fibers show up in the picture. I took the picture with a flash to try and get some sparkle. Hope you like it.
