I got to go to the SCS Second Annual Williamsburg Shoebox Swap this past weekend, and it was a ton of fun! Friends, fun, stamping, chocolate....could a stamper ask for anything more?? Thanks so much to Sherri (sherristampsalot), Jimmi (jpmayo), and Sherry for hosting the event---when's the next one??
I was priveleged to participate in the 3D swap, and this was my contribution. I wanted to make little candy totes, but since I had to make around 20 or so, I didn't want to use an entire sheet of cs for the bag/box like one of our fairly recent Technique Lovers Challenge, so I re-vamped the template so I could use half a sheet of cs---the same as for a card.
Here's my measurements: cut cs in half at just like for your card making a 5.5 x 8.5 piece of cs. Then score each long side at the 3/4 inch mark. Then rotate the cs and score at 3 3/4 and 4 3/4---this will make a 1" bottom section. Cut the score lines to make the bottom flaps just like in the original instructions.
I stuffed my boxes with raffia and M&Ms. My finished box measures 3 3/4 x 5 1/2 x 1. And you can get two out of one sheet of cs---gotta LOVE that!!!
TFL!
