The first of this summer's mini Virtual Stamp Nights is underway now through June 13. Melinda (Wonkaismycat) is challenging us to use poetry to inspire a card. The first poem that came to my mind was the one I memorized in fourth or fifth grade - I still know part of it!
The poem is "Sick," by Shel Silverstein.
It starts like this:
"I cannot go to school today
said little Peggy Ann McKay
I have the measles and the mumps,
a gash, a rash and purple bumps."
