I received some questions on how I made my tile. I have read many different ways to make these so my way may not be the best way but it is what worked for me. Hope this helps!
1. Clean tile (6x6 glossy tile).
2. Stamp image with StazOn ink. I have found that the best images are outline images that need to be colored in. I have had some problems with ink coverage on solid images.
3. Use a heat tool to dry/set the StazOn image.
4. Color image (or leave it black and white!) with Sharpie markers.
5. Use a heat tool to dry/set the markers.
6. Let the tile cool.
7. Using the Crystal Effects applicator tip, carefully dab Crystal Effects on top of the colored image.
8. Allow Crystal Effects to dry. If you are in a pinch, a heat tool can speed up the drying.

I see you are really the only one who has done a tile in a while by the dates. I have started doing them but the first time I used sharpies the color bled. I have seen people used SU! markers too. Have you tried those??? I used a spray to seal the tile so maybe that is why it bled. One person said when you use the dry erase marker on the tile the CE will get stained did you have that problem?? Sorry to bother you with so many questions but like I said all the other samples are from 2006 and back! Thanks for your help!!!

I haven't had a problem with the Sharpies running but a few of my Club girls did when we did this project. I think that perhaps they didn't give the ink enough drying time or colored in more than I did or applied the CE more heavily than I did. Everything I did was really only by "dabbing". I literally tapped by Sharpies on the tile to get the color on them. The same thing with the CE. I just tapped the tip of the applicator over my images to apply it. I have not had an issue with the dry erase markers staining the CE........but.......I have to admit that I usually stay away from the stamped image when writing and erasing. I will have to play with my tile a bit more and see what happens. Thanks for bringing that to my attention!

I tried it again last night but used SU! markers... As soon as the CE hit it it bled all over the place. Last time I tried sharpies I sprayed the tile with a sealer spray and it bled. So I washed the tiles off last night and plan to try Sharpies and CE today. We will see what happens. My SU! Upline lives in Croton Falls NY I wondered if that was near you?

I'm thinking something more perminant than the SU! markers would have to be used to even stand a chance of not running. Did you have any better luck with the Sharpies and CE??
I believe Croton Falls, NY is downstate (closer to NYC) of where I live.....probably about 3 hours away? My parents are in Greer, SC. Is that anywhere near you?
