This box was created for my dear friend (who happens to be my SU demo). I got the instructions for making suede boxes from Expression Magazine Sept/Oct 2004 vol3 issue5. Briefly, you squirt brown and black liquid applique onto a sheet of wax paper. Then you brayer it onto your box, let it dry overnight and the next day heat it randomly so it puffs up. When you touch the box it has the texture of suede. Before I heated the liquid applique I stamped french script randomly over the box. The wooden tags were also sueded. The leaves were done using delight clay and 2 different molds from After Midnight. The leaves were painted with delta metallic colors. When I was done I sponged copper Encore and Close to Cocoa on the leaves, box and tags wherever a little more color was needed.
