My altered book - the whole think took me a smidge under 2 hours - and that includes cutting out my front panel and adding 9 altered pages.
I kept my entire design uniform and simply to keep it in the time frame - but you know what, I'm really quite pleased with the end result.
The original book was yellow with an orange spine (not really the colours I was looking for with the subject!!!!!) I painted the spine using a combo of burgandy and white - turns out it matches SU's Purely Pomegranate pretty well!!!!
The cover was simple - after cutting out my front panel, I used Berry Bliss DSP (front and back), cut the panel out of the DSP after it was stuck down and then sanded all my edges back (if I'd had more time, I would have added some modge podge to seal it all - might do that later).
I then made my front insert. Again, very simple, but effective.
I did a littel title page inside the book and added some punched flowers and scallops from some DSP.
The rest of the pages are all very uniform and straight forward. I basically had a little production line going, once I'd figured out my sizes and what I was going to use. I cut all pieces the same size and all photo's the same size, with the exception of the "big brown eyes" photo (couldn't cut that one any smaller).
The most time consuming part was sticking all the pages together - I went through an entire snail cartridge and then some!!!!!!
Would love to know what you all think.
