I pulled out an old retired set for this week's sketch challenge, one I hadn't used at all since I started my SCS gallery (but of course I *had* to have it when it retired!) I'm down to just 15 color challenges left to do so that means that my options were a bit more limited. Finally I went with the October flower because it seems like half the people I know have birthdays in October, and the marigold jived with a CC I had still on my list to do.
I wanted the background to be soft, so I stamped Filigree with Versamark and then got out my seldom-used chalks to do poppin' pastels. The main image is stamped with Chocolate Chip ink and then colored with Prismacolors, and that's pretty much all there is to it. Now the *real* trick will be remembering I have this card made up and ready when October rolls around!

I don't have this set but I can see why it's a keeper and fun to use from time to time. I think we should start a challenge for the old and retired sets that still endear us.
