I have received a few messages about this board... First. The base is the large book chipboard the stampin Up! Catalog. It's a tiny bit larger that 9 1/4" square. It's covered with East Coast Prep DSP by stampin up, using the tombo multi purpose adhesive (in the green and white bottle). With regards to using that, less is more, just a little bit around the parimeter will do ya.
Next, the white handprints were done with a craft pad, on white textured cardstock. Last year, i used paint and it was too heavy, with the craft ink you can actually see the hand prints.. I covered it with crystal effects (a really good coat) and let it dry. the "best dad" hands down is the Stampin' Up! fonts and I just print, cut and mounted them. I used my cropadile to punch some holes in the top and used some jumbo eyelets, then ran a piece of 5/8" red grosgrain ribbon to hang it... I hope this clears up any questions and I hope you make them. My daughter was psyched to get her hands all red and dirty... She asked if we could do it again!

Super great idea and a fun project to do with my DD (3)!
Just one question...how difficult was it to get the craft ink off of your DD's hands? I tried using a "washable" ink pad when mine was an infant and I can't even begin to explain the horrow show of trying to remove it!
