Today me and my two daughters attended a Pampered Chef Fundraiser for Breast Cancer Awareness. The lady who hosted it is donating all proceeds to the cause in memory of two family members that have died because of cancer. I wanted to make her a card to let her know what a wonderful thing it is that she is doing in memory of her two loved ones. She kept looking at her card throughout the time we were there and kept saying how beautiful it was and thank you.
I had lost track of time this afternoon and didn't realize it was nearly time to go, so I kinda put this together on the fly.. I have never used sticky strip with glitter before.. but that is what is all around the one layer of cardstock.. I layered Pretty in Pink on Pretty in Pink.. with the one layer having the sticky strip and glitter.. the ribbon is stamped in Pretty in Pink Craft Ink, stamped in Versamark, Heat n Stick and then Glitter and heated again. It is the most sparkliest card I have ever made.
thanks for looking and reading ~ Pam

Your card is so very pretty.
But why you made it is what got to me
How very sweet of you to do that for her.
I know she will just love getting it from you.
And what she did was very sweet as well.
It touched my heart to read this about her.
And how kind and sweet you are to think of her.

Darla... I am sending you an email... a while back I met someone who had a son stationed here at Fort Leonard Wood. My husband didn't know how he was.. but about a month ago my husband walked into battalion and someone said.. "I think your wife knows my mom!" and it was him.. I for the life of me couldn't remember whose son it was... Pam

This is just lovely. I teach a Stamp out Breast Cancer class every October . . . I've flagged this sample for inspiration as I start to plan my cards for this year!
