First in a series of five, which have proven to be quite a challenge! My friend Shawna works with Kairos Prison Ministries and is participating in a retreat for about 50 women on Memorial Weekend.
Each card must be single-layer, and cannot have brads, ribbons, staples, pop dots, glue, tape, glitter or any attachment of any kind. Just paper and ink! (Thank goodness for Cuttlebug!) Each card must also include scripture. The theme for this weekend is based on 1John 3:1 'How great is the love the Father has lavished on us that we should be called the children of God'.
The scripture I am using on this card is from Hampton Arts and reads 'A friend loves at all times' Proverbs 17:17. The inside reads 'Friends are God's way of taking care of us' and is from SU.
Please PM me if you are interested in making cards for Shawna for future use and I will get them to her. These cards must be single layer, without attachment of any kind. They cannot contain your name, where you are from, or any personal info of any kind, and are written to: Sister, Friend, Daughter of God, etc. Envelopes may not be sealed.
Thanks so much for looking!

Girl, these are beautiful. Are these cards used by the ladies to send to incarcerated individuals? I'm asking because I sent a card to an incarcerated cousin and it was returned as "contraband material" because of the tiny brads. Guess he could scrape his way out using one! I'll be glad to help, altho my time is limited. Nancy

Nancy, yes. These are for incarcerated ladies. The prison system is very watchful on anything going in, and these cannot have any attachment of any sort. Thank you for your generosity in making some cards for this purpose! It is a great way to make people know they have value- no matter where they are! I will PM the deets later today! Thanks so much!

These are just awesome and the cb folder definitely adds some dimension! I don't see that anything else would have made this card better! What a thoughtful project!
