I wanted to try to make another card for FridayÂ’s limited supply challenge. The challenge was to make a card without any stamping. I didnÂ’t make this card for any particular occasion, I was just playing with my wrought iron punch and it got me thinking of this challenge again.
I used my Cuttlebug and my Textile embossing folder for the white background. I applied Pearl Ex to the raised part of my background and I used my corner rounder punch to punch the corners. I used my SU wrought iron punch (and I took off the guard) and I punched along a piece of black paper to create the lace border. I did that twice and then I just put them together. It took me a few tries to get the punches lined up, but I think I got them pretty good. I added the brads in the middle to kind of help hide the seams in my paper.
Thanks for looking!

Pearl Ex is a fine pigment powder with a pearlescent sheen. You can stamp your image with Versamark and brush Pearl Ex over it and the powder will stick to the Versamark and you get a lovely pearly/metallic sheen. You need to be sure to spray a slealer over it to make sure the Pearl Ex doesn't come off. I used hair spray to seal it.
It's hard to see it in my picture, but there is Pearl Ex on the raised part of my background.

I love your card. I have so far found that Cuttlebug folder to be tricky to use - it can so easily overpower everything else on a card. It's perfect to go with the border strip you made. I have that punch, and haven't really experimented with it yet. I am sure that I will be casing this! Thanks for the ideas you have given me.
