I love to scrapbook. Sometimes it makes me sad to put my hardwork into a book. No one has a chance to enjoy it but me.
So, I decided to change that.
The Frame is a cheap $5 that I bought at Wal-Mart. I lightly sanded and painted Ivory. After it was dry I painted it Autumn Brown which I lightly took off using a wet paper towel. When The light brown dried I went through and painted a dark brown in the cracks and I wiped off with a paper towel. Then Gabe sprayed it with a clear Krylon and we let it set overnight.
I love this picture. It captures the essence of my daughter. So I tried to match it as best as I could. The frame is 11x14. So I stitched the 2 papers together using an "in-stitchz" template from Bazzill! ( Love Those!) Then I used my Silhouette to cut out her name!!! I had the "Cherish" rub-on in my stash. I was dying to use ribbon, but I wanted to keep it simple!!!!
This was my weekend!!

Beautiful! It's a fabulous picture and I think you did right to keep it simple - everything you added just draws the eye to the pic and she's definitely the star! TFS!
Beautiful page! I know what you mean about putting all the hard work into it and no one seeing it. I have some pictures of my children that I will think about doing the same thing with!

There was nothing recent for me to comment on but when I saw this pretty picture I just had to say something.
You have a beautiful daughter and your idea to frame her picture instead of putting it in a scrapbook is so much more accessible to everyone. Gorgeous work on this.
