The Crafty Secrets member forum challenge this week is called 'Hidden Treasure' and Lori has invited us to make cards with a secret or hidden element. The details are here if you want to join the fun. Lori also suggested we use something that reminds us of our Mum as it's Mothers Day weekend.
I made a little 'booklet' for my card front that has a picture of me on my first ever holiday (aged six months or so) and a little bit of journalling inside - Mum eating winkles or cockles from little paper bags on family holidays is one of my earliest memories.
ETA: not sure if winkles and cockles are universal or peculiarly British! they're both small shell fish - winkles have a spiral, snail-like shell and cockles have a hinged, two piece shell. Traditional British seaside resorts would sell a bag of shelled winkles with a sprinkle of vinegar as a snack.
Supplies: Mini Memories stamp set (Crafty Secrets Clear Art Stamps), Radiant Paper Pad (Crafty Secrets), Seaside Memories stickers (Heartwarming Vintage), Tim Holtz Distress inks (Old Paper and Weathered Wood), SU! antique copper Hodgepodge hardware, jute garden twine
