This card is for the limited supply challenge today. No stamps can be used. I had some great flowers and words, I went through all of them and decided to use this pretty flower. I had leftover mellow moss on the craft table and said it looked nice, so decided to build my card around those two items.
This was really tough for me. I had a hard time figuring out what kind of layout to use. In one of my creative bursts, I drew a bunch of layout ideas on a paper, this is similar to one that I drew. I figured I wanted to do the two panels, and wanted to use dp but all the SU dp I had didn't match the flower, so I took out my dcwv packs. I found this wonderful plum dp. I thought it looked great with the moss, and it was very complimentary to the colors in the flower.
For the base of the card, I was originally going to use pretty in pink. After looking at it for a while, I realized the two shades of pink weren't really working. The inside seemed more peachy in color than pink. So I put it next to blush blossom, it seemed to wash it away, so then I tried cameo coral. I HAD A WINNER!!! I think it looks fab with the coral. It just highlights the pigment of the pink/peach so well. I'm glad I chose this color.
After I put the card together, I realized the panels needed something. So I was going to use some words I had, I held them up, and didn't really like the overall look, so I decided on ribbon. I had to pull up the panels to get the ribbon underneath, but I think the payoff is just grand. I'm glad I added it.
Anyway, tfl and reading my explaination.
Have a great day!

Your explanation made me laugh ... this should have been easy, right?! LOL! Anyway, it was worth it because this is a lovely card! Well worth the effort.
