It's such a wonderful design and I've made several versions of it - and I want to make more! I'm sharing this one because the colors are quite different. This is for an old friend of mine who loves purple.
After I finished stamping the flower, I inked the Step 1 stamp with Versamark and overstamped the flower, embossing with clear EP. That made the colors pop more and also masked the flower for stamping the stem and leaves. Then I shaded around the flower and leaves with River Rock using a stipple brush.
The possibilities are endless with these Kitchen Sink 3-step sets, and very addictive. This card measures 5 1/2 inches square.
I sure wish I had Hydrangeas like this in my yard!

Linda, this does look like a photograph taken in outdoor light the way the highlighted or lightest area shows up so well and the dark contrasted area adds so much depth. That spring moss PTI ribbon is so perfect with this too. What a beautiful job you did. A very pretty color combination and pretty shades for the flower and leaves. Thank you for the idea to use versamark ink and clear embossing powder to mask off the flower for the leaves and for stippling a background color around the flower. Darn, you are good! Great inspiration for me to try one of my Kitchen Sink stamps!
