We have had a couple of late frosts this year and I have worked very hard at trying to save this little apple tree from getting bit by "ole Jack Frost". So far so good, and we are enjoying how beautiful it is now that it is in full bloom! DH asked if I had taken any pictures of our "little tree" so I went out last night a snapped a few shots. This card is made using one of the close ups I took. Then this morning Sharon (notimetostamp) posts her challenge (found here: Blogs at Splitcoaststampers) which is to make a "spring" card using pink & green and a flower. Well, my "little apple tree" photo worked perfectly. Hope you like it! I might still add a butterfly, bird or sentiment but for now I'm just enjoying the springy feeling I get from it. TFL

Oh my! How beautiful and perfect for Sharon's challenge. Great job on the background and I love the photo. Super job on the ribbons and the scallops are perfect. It's rainy here, so this has cheered me up!

This is an amazing idea - what a great way to incorporate photos into your cards...i'm going to try this with a picuture of my niece for her birthday card...people always like to see themselves on cards so I'm going to try this technique...
thanks for sharing and I LOVE the way you "hung" the picture to the top of the front of the card...AWESOME!!!!

When I moved to Florida 40 years ago, one of the things I missed about Pennsylvania was my apple tree. We actually had several apple trees on our property, but the one I missed most was the Delicious. I just loved going out back and picking an apple off the tree and eating it! Your card brought back many happy memories. Thanks for that! And besides, it's a very pretty card.
