I love this set! I hate to see it retire once the mini is gone and hope that SU! decides to put it in their big catty.
This is my dad's birthday card, which is tomorrow. One year we got him a chocolate lab puppy for his birthday and we hid her in the hall bathroom while he opened up his box of dog toys and food and such. She started whining and carrying on and my sister and I (we were 8 & 10 at the time) starting singing Christmas carols at the top of our lungs. hahah... What fun memories. HE loved that dog so much!! She was a good dog.
So anyways... I used my SU! markers to watercolor the image. I used Gina K's tutorial on making the faux wood background off of her blog. It took me several practice tries to get it right. I embossed the happy birthday but because the background was still a little wet a lot of embossing powder stuck on it as well, but it turned out looking like wet wood and I really liked it so I left it as is.
