Here is my card for today's sketch challenge. I was needing to make a birthday card for my grandpa and this sketch worked perfectly for what I had in mind. I was wanting to use my Lovely As A Tree set, and the top panel of the sketch was just the right size!
I wanted to emboss the tree image with copper ep and that is what inspired the colors. I used basic black cs and metallic copper paper from DCWV. On layer 2 I added black brads in the corner. On layer 3, I stamped the leaf image from Lovely As A Tree in versamark and embossed with copper ep. The top layer is very vanilla cs and is matted with the copper and black cardstock. I stamped the tree in versamark and embossed it with copper ep. The sentiment (from Sincere Salutations) is stamped in basic black ink. I used the ticket corner punch on all of corners of the paper used in the top layer.
This was a pretty simple card, but I think it turned out great for my grandpa!
Thanks for looking and I hope you like it!
