I was recently to a stamping show where I saw some scallop cards and I also have been seeing them in some galleries here, so I wanted to try making one. This is my first attempt at making a scallop card.
I used my Coluzzle (with 2 different size circle templates) and my corner rounding punch to make my card and the scalloped layers on my card. My card does open and the back side is also a large scallop circle. My card is held together with staples, but my large white circle layer covers the staples, so you can only see them from the back side.
I took a piece of scrap paper and punched my scallop punch through it and then I used that piece of paper as a template to sponge the blue ink over the flowers. I used the masking technique to cover the flower so that they would remain white while I sponged the background blue. Then I was able to color in my flowers with my SU markers.
Thanks for looking!
