My husband's daughter asked me to make birth announcements for her baby girl, due August 1. She specified lady bug and red/black/white color scheme. I came up with 3 prototypes that I shared with her this morning.
I started working on these last night without a plan and I adhered the matted photo to the cardstock before I printed the verse. Rather than waste the photo and the cardstock, I cut out the verse and glued it down. This caused a ridge I had to stamp over. Fine for a prototype, but it looks crappy!
She already chose #1, but I think this one would have been cuter without the flowers on the upper left and maybe with the "a" stamped in black. I also think the vibrancy of the cs colors makes a color photo the best choice.
Card measures 9.25x4 and will be sent a #10 open end envelope.
(the photo is her first little girl at 3months and the baby's info is all made up. They call the baby on the way Oprah as a joke. Since I know the baby's name won't begin with an "o", I used the "a" for sample purposes)
