This card is for an inspiration challenge for JulieHRR's "Simply Great Card Design" class which I'm taking - we're supposed to get inspiration for something OTHER than a card! Also, today's Backgrounder Blitz Challenge over at Cornish Heritage Farms is "partial stamping" of a background stamp.
I'm so excited that spring has come to the Chicago area! We actually have buds on our trees and there are some flowers blooming if you look for them! This, plus our sunny day today, inspired this card.
I inked up the BG stamp, omiting the area where I wanted to put the leaves/flowers. For the one stamp that has the flower on it, I inked it up with Wild Wasabi, then used the "Wet Q-Tip Technique" to remove the Wasabi ink from the flowers, then I added the Lavender with my SU marker. Then I used a sponge dauber to fill in the space with the Lemon color, representing the sun (and matching the base). Thanks for looking!
