After seeing all the cute purses everyone (esp gfygrl and debbycasper) was making I wanted to make one too. I wanted something sturdy as the fondation of the purse so I choose a manilla file folder as the base to cut my purse form from and scored it and folded it. First I used a scallopped embossing punch on the front top flap and DP. Then I decorated the bottom front first so I could slip the ribbon behind the DP and secure with a brad that went all the way throught to the back side of the purse to hold the purse together without adhesive and also securing the ribbon handle. First securing it to the bottom right, then up through a small hole punched in top of front flap and then down through hole in top of left side and securing it with another brad on left bottom side (see inside of purse in next pic). Then I covered the back of the purse with same DP to cover the back of the brads. Finished off by covering top front flap and adding flowers and brads. I didn't use a closure on this one but may try sticky velcro as suggested by debbycasper on my next one. I sent this one to my sister for her birthday and she informed me today she recieved it and loved it. I had to wait til now to post the pics as she loves SCS website too and I didn't want her to see it before receiving it in the mail with her Birthday greeting tucked inside! Thanks for looking.

Thank you for the nice compliments. I didn't use a template, but when I do my next one I will try to create a template. This one I just made the width of card and played around with the length until it folded the way I wanted it to and made sure it would fit in the envelope before I completed it.
