Happy Weekend all,ya'll! And thanks to you, Stef for gettin' inspired to inspire us! When I perused the Heather Bailey fabrics, I just knew I'd go to my MME big flower 'girls' for this challenge...and that's exactly what I did.
My flower is cut from MME 'Bliss' FRIENDS paper. I embossed it with UTEE and cut and ruffled those petals. I explored creating an underlayer of SU blush blossom hand tracing the shadows the flower cast. I randomly stamped the texture stamp from 'Art of Life' onto the bb with Tim Holtz worn lipstick. I also used the same stamp at the top and bottom of the bg paper. This bg was an experiment ages ago with the crackle paint in Old Paper...for the life of me I can't remember where I was going with it...but today it provided the perfect color and texture for my star, the bloom! And I was able to use this fabUlous quote from Sophia Loren: Mistakes are part of the dues one pays for a full life. AMEN!!! I matted this mistake on black linen cs and distressed the edges...next a layer of aqua paper with tiny white dots and then finished off with Basic Grey "PEONY" from the sultry collection. I parted with a snip of vintage black cotton eyelet scallop lace down the left side.
I'm not afraid of mistakes, are you? Thanks for your comments...

Susan, your card is gorgeous. I love how you cut some of the petals to give your card some dimension. I had never heard that quote before. I really like it. Thanks for sharing.
