It just doesn't get much simpler than this. A week or so ago, Nichole Heady posted a challenge on her blog to cut into and use up some of your hoarded dp to make some quick cards. (Here's the link to her blog if you're interested http://nicholeheady.typepad.com/capture_the_moment/) So...here's one of my cards that I made.
My card base is River Rock. The pretty dp is from Chatter Box. I applied ink directly to the birthday stamp using my Not Quite Navy, Ruby Red and Summer Sun markers, huffing and then stamping onto Whisper White cs. I punched this out with my 1 1/4" circle punch. I punched out a 1 3/8" circle of Not Quite Navy for a layer. Next I used my 1 3/8" circle punch on a River Rock scrap and then center my Scallop Punch over the punched out hole to make my scallop frame. I added the white ric-rac to the dp, adhered the circles directly to the dp and then adhered the scallop frame with Dimensionals. As a final touch, I highlighted the candles' flames with my Stardust Gelly Roll pen. Oh yeah, I also rounded all the corners with my Small Corner Rounder Punch.
