WOW, Jodi, congratulations on being chosen Featured Stamper! Your style is so fresh and fun and I had a wonderful walk through your gallery. I chose to case this card Joyful Ladybug by Kharmagirl at Splitcoaststampers. I like your layout and the sentiment up on top along with the ticket punched corners and bling. I changed everything else!
I've been waiting for awhile to use my Atlas with this sphere, wondering just how I could create a whole card using these images! And then last week I "happened" upon this new Art Impressions sentiment which I stamped on the inside. It came with a smaller joy...but the more I looked at the word and the sphere and Atlas, the more I saw my design come to life!
I picked papers that would compliment the natural coloring of my elements. The sphere is on CC, chicken little (sky is falling) stamped in black and embossed in clear, I popped the right side of it on foam. Atlas is inked in walnut stain on paper that appears like aged Marble. The jot of Atlas is dragonfly black as is the 'Y' and has been stamped directly to the Basic Grey paper---embossed in clear. I popped Atlas' upper body, trying to convey the weight of the earth on his shoulders and glued his lower body straight to paper. I used Fiskars scissors for the ticket corners and bling brads. The SU soft sky base is stamped in same using the crackle Judikins bg.
My card will go to a friend who lost her father recently...I'm praying those words will be able to speak Joy into her day. Thanks so very much for looking...and reading!
I am editing to add the inside sentiment in case someone is unable to read it:
...will soon be back in your life.
Before long this difficult time
will be behind you & your days will
be filled with cheerfulness & delight
once again.

Susan, you have such a creative way of putting stamps together it's just amazing!!! It is such a meaningful card - at times it certainly seems that we need Atlas - or God - to put our world at rights!! The sentiment is so encouraging - and I love your dp!! The great mix of neutrals is just gorgeous!! I'm certain that this card will put joy and love into your friends life - as it has for me tonight!! Blessings to you!
