I was looking through the CHRISTmas card challenge yesterday and came across these wonderful cards ccc08-may_by_emmanicholas by emmanicholas at Splitcoaststampers. I've had the mesh sitting on my work table for quite a while because I wanted to try and use them. I also was looking for an Asian flavor to a card that I am sending to Hong Kong for a dear young lady in our church who is there presently going through cancer treatments. Thank you Emmanicholas for this wonderful idea. Nothing comes without trial with me these days. I made the top layer 4 times! The first one was the spritz watercolor method, but the colors ran together. So I used my trusty SU markers and huffed and stamped. I was almost done with the second one when I realized I wanted the piercing on it. Did the first corner, turned card and lined the holes up in the wrong place and when trying to fix it I poked the holes through the wrong way! The third one had all the piercing and another stamped dogwood, but I stamped the message UPSIDE DOWN. I'm happy to say that I made three of these that turned out.
