My husbands partner is getting married in Vegas in July and they asked me to make their wedding invitations. I thought I would design something elegant and simple..
The Card stock is actually from Staples 110lb Ivory (only $14.99 for 250 sheets!!)and its very nice and heavy and accepts the cuttle bug embossing folder very nicely. Only problem is the cutting and scoring for the gate fold! Bought a score pal and it helps a lot but still a lot of work!
The top and bottom is Birds and swirls leaving the center blank for scoring. (Only wish the cuttlebug folders were wider and longer!)
The band is in GP white 110 lb cardstock ($5.99 wal-mart) to break up the ivory and tie in the white inside with the wording. I used a strip of tacky tape and clear glass micro beads to pretty it up. The heart is punched with the new marvy scalloped heart punch and it is then embossed with the swiss dotes folder and popped up for dimension with pop dots.
The inside is just white typed "wedding invitation details" and the reply card matches this front with the popped, punched, embossed heart.
ALOT OF WORK!! and I have the make 100 of them by the end of the month!
The response card is a simple matching ivory card with a matching dotted embossed punched, popped heart and words typed on the computer.
What do you think? Comments appreciated-I hope its not too plain and blah-- pictures don't really do it much justice though- I think they are elegant- TFL

They are beautiful, but they look like a ton of work! Good luck getting them done on time!

Very very pretty. I think the word elegant describes it.
If it were me though, I would have to omit the glass beads. Not because I dont like them...I do but that's a lot of work.
I think I would have to go with a glittery ribbon. But so long as Im not having to make it....IT LOOKS FABULOUS!
Good luck. Im sure they're going to love their invites.
