This card started out SIMPLE! I love to paper pierce and do so little of it. A friend of mine in England sent me this beautiful Ornare pattern and I decided to use it this CHRISTmas. After doing the piercing and layering it on the dark red paper I thought how pretty it would look to put yellow glitter in the light. Then it looked like I hadn't quite finished the design so I decided to use a pale pink for the ribbon. Then disaster hit! After "painting" the ribbon with glue, I realized I'd put glue on the right side of the top of the lantern. After all the work of piercing, I didn't want to start over, so I finished putting glue on the ribbon and carefully put the pink glitter on and glittered the rest of the lantern and woohoo it turned out really nice. You can't really see the glitter on this picture but I'm happy with the results! That's stamping for ya.....make a mistake and turn it into something pretty! So now I've got the design and I'm off to make 25 more, ten for the military and 15 for us!
