I made this for my Mom who just had a basal cell carcinoma removed from her nose using the Mohs procedure. If you look closely, I put stitches on the pig's nose. I think she'll get a kick out of it!
I also used the color combo from CC158, and my own original sketch!! (There's a first for everything!)
I put crystal effects on the thermometer to make it look like glass, and distressed the paper edges with a PC scraper thingy.
This was my first time using watercolor paper, and I love it!! I won't use any other paper for watercoloring from now on!! I will need to be patient, and let the layers dry, because some of the pillow bled into the pig's face. Oh, well, makes it 'hand made"!!
The sentiment is up on pop dots.

Such an adorable card. You did a great job of coloring this image. Love the touch of stithes to his nose. Makes it even more personal for your mom. I hope she recovers quickly.
