A fellow stamping buddy and co-worker is celebrating her birthday this week, and I wanted to make her a bright and cheerful birthday card. I decided to go with this color challenge (Ballet Blue, Real Red and Apricot Appeal). Isn't it fun?! I think this gnome is so darn cute! This sketch, by the way, is Beate's 39th sketch challenge. http://beate.blogs.splitcoaststamper...-challenge-39/
My card base is Ballet Blue stamped with the Crosshatch background stamp in Ballet Blue ink. I stamped the gnome on watercolor paper with Jet Black StazOn. I colored him with my Aquapainter and SU markers. I doodled a squiggly frame around him with my Ballet Blue marker, highlighted the strawberry seeds with my Stardust Gelly Roll Pen and layered it on Real Red and Apricot Appeal cs. I added some Hodpgepodge hardware and adhered the panel to the card base. I stamped the sentiment with Ballet Blue on watercolor paper, added a Twinkle Sticker and layered it on Real Red and Apricot Appeal cs. (Each layer is separated by a Dimensional.)
This card just makes me smile every time I look at it. I think she'll like it.

Very nice. I love it.
Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around. ~Leo Buscaglia
