I made this for my mom today. She lives in an assisted living complex. This is for a shelf by her door. I used the letters from the On Board Lots of Letters. I traced each letter on Prints Soft Sky paper, cut each one out and glued the prints letters onto the onboard chip letters. The letter R has a punched butterfly in Ruby Red that has been glittered with the glitter pen, and four sparkle dots on it. The letter O is filled in with a punched daisy using the S.U. daisy punch, The S has a Prima flower and gold brad glued onto it, the A has a heart brad that is ruby red glued to it, the L has half pearls glued onto it, the I has a bow tied with Soft Sky double edged ribbon and a sparkle dot on the dot,the E has a ruby red punched flower with a more mustard punched center and a wild wassabi leaf glued onto it. The flowers across the top are the rub ons from the SAB catalog and the ribbon across the bottom is soft sky. I'm not thrilled with this attempt, but will definately make more of these.

This turned out lovely, Coleen! Very feminine and cheerful in a soft way. I'm sure this will make your Mom smile even more than she did over that milkshake! TFS. Linda

Very cool Coleen! I have so many questions about your creation! What is the size of the frame? How did you choose the colors, Mom's favorites? Did you give it to her yet? Did she like it? I like it, now I'm glad that you suggested the rub-ons from SAB they sure look good here. I bet Hannan would like one, and maybe the new brother/sister??? VBG!!
Thanks for sharing, Karen

Answers to your questions Karen. I chose the colors in this order, I love the sky blue ribbon, so I covered the letters with the sky blue prints first. Then, I looked at the color chart for the new in colors and saw ruby red, wild wasabi and more mustard. Well, I liked that print in the more mustard so I chose that for the background. The rest is history. No method to my madness, just go with it whatever "it" is that is hitting me. I haven't given it to her yet. Mother's day is coming up and her birthday is June 1st. The frame is a 5" x 7" frame. Thanks for your comments!
