1. When I was younger, we used to visit my great-grandmother, Mimi, who lived in a teeny town in California. She had a hummingbird feeder right outside her big kitchen window and I used to spend hours sitting in her kitchen, trying to get a picture of a hummingbird. Those things are fast!
2. Mimi passed away several years ago, and my mother and I still think of her every time we see something with hummingbirds on it. So I had to buy this stamp set!
3. I'd been waiting for inspiration to strike to use this hummingbird, and finally it did with today's CC. I used an old sketch layout to make panes behind the hummingbird, kind of like Mimi's big window.
4. The background and sentiment are both sponged with a bit of So Saffron and the edges are sponged with Wild Wasabi. I used sponge daubers to color my hummingbird with Wild Wasabi and Purely Pomegranate, cut him out, and put him on the card with dimensionals. Don't know how often I'll cut him out, it's hard!
5. Thanks for looking! And thanks to Emily and Kelli for the great color challenge. Hey, that feels like a commercial or something..."Today's color challenge is brought to you by Emily and Kelli!"

I agree! This IS gorgeous!! Love the three panels. The colors really pop! But the best part is the story and the way the hummingbird goes across the panels.
My grandmother fed the hummingbirds too!
