Sharon has this very tempting challenge on her Blog and I wanted to participate so I came up with this version of a purse box. It is simply a tote that I have been making for a while using a 8 1/2x 11 piece of CS in this case, cut to size sheet from a stack pack scored on short side @ 1 1/4" from both sides. Than on the long side @ 4 1/2" from both sides. After that I cut a 4x6 piece and rounded the corners and adhered it to the top so it exstands the top edge of the main piece by about 1". The closure is simple velcro dots and to perk it up a little I added a button without shank and some corner embellishments. The purse handle is some grosgrain ribbon attached with two brads. Oh, before I forget. I pinched the sides of the tote part to make it more look like a purse ;-).
Let me know what you think, please.

OH, how fun is this!!! It does look like a purse, for sure!!! I just love the gold filigree buttons/hardware you have used - they are just wonderful!!! And your paper choice is just perfect as well -- a beautiful purse and a wonderful container for some gift cards!!! A win, win situation!!! I am so glad you played -- thank you so much!!!
