At last I've used this Penny Black stamp! We have a lot of beautiful snow on the ground and trees, and it inspired this card for a good friend who lives in the woods.
I stamped the trees image in Going Gray on white cardstock and cut along the top line for the horizon. Then I layered it onto the bottom of a brayered background I found in my scrap bin made on glossy cardstock with SU's Late November spectrum pad.
Next, I stamped the trees image again on acetate using Palette Noir Black and lined it up over the previously gray-stamped tree bases.
Once I decided how big I wanted the image, I trimmed it down, layered it onto Basic Black cardstock and added the black brads. The trees panel was then mounted with dimensionals onto a 5 x 6 1/2 white card base made from Paper Trey Stampers Select.
It's hard to see in the photo, but for a little extra touch I used my Scor-Pal to add an embossed line 1/4 inch inside all four edges of the card front. I really love how images stamped on acetate have a 3-D look.

Linda, George loves it! This is a beautiful card. We have seen many sunsets in winter behind the trees that look just like this. You lined everything up so perfect, as always.

I knew George was getting this awesome card when I saw it. Beautiful! Again like that extra touch with the score-it! I'm still ready for the snow to be gone though!

Wow, Linda! Isn't this just another stunner! You sure haven't lost your touch while *on leave* with your new puppy! :-D I love what you did with layering the trees onto an acetate panel. I'll be CASEing that idea one of these days! And yes, I do see the scored lines which give the card the perfect finishing touch! Gorgeous! TFS!
