Here is my card for this week's TLC 157 challenge...mixing designs on paper. I just love this little relaxed Riley and thought that he deserved a pretty plaid chair, and nothing is more mixed up with plaid than polka dots, so that is my big mix-up for this one.
I started with a base of Soft Sky cardstock. The patterned papers are from Bo Bunny, each is matted to a piece of Chocolate Chip cardstock. Riley was stamped using Staz-On Black ink on white cardstock then colored using WW pencils and a Blender Pen. I think that I am going to stick with my old standby of ink pads and an aquapainter, I feel I have better control when I do it that way! Finally, I stamped the Riley on the plaid paper to paper piece his chair and ottoman to help mix up the image even more. I added some diamond stickles to the cupcake and a little crystal effects to the top of the coffee cup...can't really see either in the picture but they are cute on the card. I sponged a little of the Soft Sky ink around the edges of the white cardstock just to ease the harsh line on that edge a bit. Then I stamped the "welcome" with Chocolate Chip ink in that open bottom corner.
I like the overall look, and hope you do too! Thanks for looking everyone!
