I LOVE the Summer Picnic DSP and since my sister and I love cherries I couldn't resist putting this page together, and it goes to show you can use summer paper with a winter picture. I got the layout idea from the January 2008 SS and you can find the scrap map under "The Printing Place" on the SU website. One thing I'm finding out about rub-ons, that black looks best on white or light colors and white rub-ons look best on dark colors. I guess it's a contrast thing. As for the size of this page - I so hope that SU comes out with 9X9 scrapbooks in the next catalog. All of their recent page samples seem to be 9X9... I love this size as you can fit a regular 4x6 photo one it, with journaling and a couple of accents. Hard to do with a 6x6 page. I will show my customers that this page can be turned into a 12X12 page by simply mounting it on a 12X12 sheet of textured Old Olive CS - the textured CS really adds something, where the plain CS is just flat.
