Inspired by the interactive cards in the March 2008 Paper Crafts magazine.
I liked Nichole Heady's Secret Wish Card using a Secret Keeper Card made by Urban Lily (shown on pg 90). So ... I decided to try and make a card that had the same type of slider action ... and this is the result! ;)
For this type of slider card - the sides of the card move apart to reveal the inside pocket and sentiment. I used a brad and made a slider track on each side of the inside pocket for the card to slide open and closed on. The brad and slider track remain hidden when the sides are pulled open.

... TFL and hope you like it!

Thanks for all your kind comments!

I just saw your "Slider" card tutorial and would like to say Thank You for sharing this with the rest of us. I am always looking for new techniques to try and I really like the design of you Slider Card. I can't wait to try this one...I need a birthday card for my friend (born on St Paddy's Day). UMMM!!

Thanks for sharing. When I saw this in the magazine, I was disappointed it was a pre-made card. I knew there had to be a way to duplicate it. I'm glad it was you who figured it out instead of me. LOL. Thanks again, much appreciated!!!

Thanks so much for sharing this! I was just flipping through my March issue of Paper Crafts and thought, "I have a swap coming up that I can do a nicer card for since it's small. This would be great! But are you kidding me? I'm not going to buy card bases! I'll bet someone at SCS has figured it out." It was so cool to type it into the search feature and see your card and awesome tutorial pop right up! Thanks so much for putting all that work into the tutorial to share with the rest of us.
