This is another card we did in my last minute Valetine class today. I have been looking at this set and not really loving it, but decided that I had to at least play with it some before I made up my mind. Now I am looking forward to making some more cards with this one, and I wish I had started stamping with it a bit sooner.
I started by stamping the flowers onto the Pretty in Pink cardstock with the same color ink. The elephant image is stamped with Basic Black then colored in using pastels and blender pens. When I made the tag, I originally pictured having the elephant hold onto the hemp twine, but as I tried to get it to look right I realized I didn't like that idea as much as I thought I would. I was trying to figure out what to do with the ends of the twine when suddenly I realized that I could make a heart out of it. I secured the point of the heart down with a mini glue dot to the cardstock.
All of this was layered on a piece of Purely Pomegranate that had some Regal Rose ribbon on top. My little girl has announced that this is her favorite of all my Valentine's, so she will be getting one very much like it on Thursday.
Thanks for looking!
