I love this rose. I got it from a new friend in Texas. It is my favorite stamp.I stamped these images on the tile with stazon then heat set it,in a 350F oven, for 20 mins., coloured the rose image with Sharpie markers, with blender pens.I outlined the tile with a Krylon Gold leaf pen. This tile is not 4x4 more like 6x6.I sprayed it with Krylon but I know I could still scratch the image off. I would like to know what to use the keep the image from doing that,so it can be used as a trivet. I am going to hang this in my livingroom.

Let me see, it has been since before Christmas since I did this, lol, so I will try to recall it. I did use the new 21 marker sharpie set that came out just before Christmas at the Staples in New minas, Nova Scotia..it had new colours in it, pastels and new colours like burgundy, etc, I love burgundy so I snapped this up quick. Where the areas were supposed to be darker is where I put the marker, then blended it out with the blender pen so it got lighter as it came out to the lighter areas of the petals. I tried to think of where the light would hit the petals, and have it darker where the petals would shade another. This tile has a bit of a satin or low luster glaze that is on it from the factory, it helps it to blend better than if it were the tumbled tile , I think so anyway.HTH... Thanks for all your kind comments. I love SCS, there are soooo many great artists here...posting this is my thank you to you all for giving me ideas and joy to my days , looking at as many samples as I can get away with,timewise,LOL..Have a great day...and Happy stamping!
