This is for the inspiration challenge. I have some expalining to do as it really looks nothing like the beautiful bedding that Karen gave as our sprinboard. But since there are no *right* or *wrong* cards, I knew this is where I wanted to go with it. I went with the colors teal, rust, sahara sand and river rock I added summer sun to give my stained glass window extra brightness.
In my dream right before I woke up I was singing this beautiful song from Fiddler on the roof called *Sabbath Prayer*. I caN honestly tell you I have not sung that song since 1968 at Camp Kippewa for Girls where I was Hodel the Shoemaker in the summer play. (yeah, what a puny part....) But anyway it is a hauntingly beautiful melody and it just stirred up my Jewishness and I knew it would be a big part of my card that I created today. I got this beautiful Star of David stamp from Outlines Stamp Compnay, which is right here in Connecticut! Here is a link to their site. http://www.outlinesrubberstamp.com/ I discovered the company from a card Vicky made, and ordered some stamps from them. I also used my new music embossing folder, and distressed it with my distress inks. The Star of David is colored with markers and embossed 3 times with utee. I wanted it to look like a beautiful stained glass window against the ancient music that Jews have been singing for so many years. I wish that I had the guts to write Shalom across the bottom, which means hello, goodbye and peace, but I was afraid to so I used my Peace stamp. thanks for looking! Here are some of the lyrics to thet beautiful song that I was singing in my dream:
May the Lord protect and defend you
May the lord preserve you from pain
Favor them oh Lord, with happiness and
peace
Oh hear our Sabbath prayer, Amen.

What a lovely card, Nancyruth. And 'shalom' to you. I'm not Jewish, but all Christianity started in Judiasm. Your coloring of the Star of David is wonderful.
